Hi everyone – one last post to see if anyone else would like to contribute to a Flower Fund for Wídfara. Here's the link to explanations about Paypal, and my account with them: http://www.theonering.net/rumour_mill/rpg/viewer/main/3DB5E6970005F15D.html
Paypal works globally. We've put together well over $200 from more than 20 TORnsibs all over the world. I've linked below to the wreath I like – the FTD Ring of Friendship wreath (seems about right, doesn't it?) The original one I chose
looked like something I think Wid would have gotten a kick out of, but the Ring of Friendship is pretty spectacular.
If there is extra – and it looks like there will be – there are a few possibilities, and I'd like as much input as possible. Someone suggested *two* arrangements; Mrs. B had the lovely idea of sending a plant to Robin's friend Pat, who remembered us yesterday (do you know how to reach her, Mrs. B?); there is also, of course, the fund to support TORn, which I know I tend to forget is a very worthy cause – our gathering place here can't be cheap to run.
Finally: here is the message I would like to put with the wreath:
"I will not say the Day is done, nor bid the Stars farewell."

If there's room, I would love to add "including:" and follow it with the movingly long lost of folks who signed LOTR Nutcase's post, and the fund contributors' first names at the end.
(If anyone has any idea how to say "Quizmistress" in either Quenya or Sindarin, that would be neat)
Any thoughts? I don't want to make decisions on this without input - this is from all of us. Thanks!!
(On a lighter note, if anyone can tell me how to fix my margins, I'd be grateful ... fiddling with them seems to only make it worse...)

I don't know how to "translate" Quizmistress into elvish, but I do have the Tengwar font downloaded on my computer and can e-mail it to you if you want. It would be plain old English, but in the pretty font.
As to the extra money, both ideas sound nice. Tough choice! Maybe we could do both, depending on how much is left over?

The flowers are perfectly lovely... and I like the message very much.

the message you suggest, Aerlinn. Sending something to Pat would be a good idea; we might never have known what happened, or at least not soon, without her having made those posts. But anything left then would appropriately be donated to TORn.
(And to reiterate what was mentioned yesterday, anyone uncomfortable with PayPal could also donate directly to TORn, instead.)
As for "quizmistress," I don't know a Quenya word that means "quiz." Best I can suggest is:
ingólemo líron (sage of songs)
But I make no pretense of being a Quenya linguist, there are others out there who may have better ideas.

The flower arrangement is gorgeous, and the message to include is perfect (oh, but the geeky editor in me wants to say that the "n" in "net" should be lowercase). Thanks for putting this together.
TORn is donating contributions made in Wíd's name to a crisis hotline, rather than keeping them for TORn. Not sure if this changes a decision one way or another, but wanted to share that.
I think the idea of sending something to Pat is a very touching gesture. Forget the two arrangements idea - we should reach out to someone else who we know is hurting, if we can.
